Easy Peanut Butter Dog Treats
These treats are super easy to make and only take 20 minutes to bake! You can use any type of small cookie cutter if you don’t have little bone shapes. I also roll little 1/4 teaspoon size balls to use as training treats. Crisp on the outside and soft on the inside; they are sure to be a quick favorite for your dogs!
- 1/2 cup organic smooth peanut butter (I get the stir variety, as it contains no palm oil)
- 2 tablespoons organic agave (make sure it’s pure agave with no additives)
- 1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
- 1/4 cup warm water
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1 cup organic all-purpose flour (more or less as needed)
Preheat oven to 280ᵒF
In a large bowl, add peanut butter, agave, applesauce, and water; whisk until smooth.
Add baking powder and blend in.
Slowly add flour knead until dough is firm and not sticky.
On a pastry board or piece of wax paper, sprinkle a little flour and roll out dough to about 1/4 inch thick.
Use a 2 inch bone cookie cutter or other fun shapes.
Place treats on a cookie sheet (line with parchment paper if desired).
Bake in oven for 20-25 minutes (depending on size of treats).
Remove and allow to cool.
Store in an airtight container or zip lock bag. Good for four days out of fridge and up to one week refrigerated.
